Dryer Exhaust Facts
Dryer exhaust systems must be independent of all other venting systems. Dryer ducts must be a minimum of 4 inches in diameter and must not exceed 25 feet (add 2 1/2 feet for each 45 degree bend and 5 feet for every 90 degree bend). Duct must be made of metal (rigid or flexible) minimum 28 gauge.
